U.S. Open purse 2023
The prize money pool for the 2023 U.S. Open has yet to be unveiled, but expect it to be a sizable jump from the 2022 tournament. In 2022, the purse for the U.S. Open was set at $17.5 million, with $3.15 million heading to the winner, Matt Fitzpatrick.
For comparison, the 2023 Masters purse sat at $18 million, while the PGA Championship checked in at $17.5 million. Expect the U.S. Open purse to sit at or around those two numbers when the final figure is released.
U.S. Open odds 2023
Unsurprisingly, the world's best golfers sit at the top of the favorites list to win the tournament: Both Scottie Scheffler and Jon Rahm are 1-2 according to BetMGM in odds to win this year's tournament. Rahm won the U.S. Open in 2021, while Scheffler's lone major win came at the 2022 Masters.
Last year's winner, Matt Fitzpatrick, sits at +3300 to repeat at this year's tourney.
