Formula One returns to one of its most recognisable tracks this weekend as the drivers battle it out for supremacy during the 2023 Monaco Grand Prix.
After winning from P9 on the grid in Miami, Red Bull's Max Verstappen will be looking to make his path to glory a little easier this time around as F1 visits Monaco for the 80th running of this prestigious race.
The Dutchman failed to post a qualifying time in Q3 in Florida before a Charles Leclerc crash saw the red flag drop, but even still, Verstappen recovered to take his third victory of the season.
That win further asserted his lead at the top of the World Drivers' Championship standings but teammate Sergio Perez will be desperate to challenge for the chequered flag again here in Monaco, especially after he won at this circuit last year for the first time.
Ahead of the action getting underway, The Sporting News dives through all of the odds to give you the best bets and tips for the upcoming 2023 Monaco Grand Prix.

F1 Monaco Grand Prix 2023 odds to win
As expected, Max Verstappen is once again the bookmakers' heavy favourite to win the latest Grand Prix on the 2023 calendar in his simply unbeatable Red Bull.
The Dutchman roared back from P9 on the starting grid in Miami last time out to claim a priceless win and as such, the bookies can't see past him winning again here as the action pivots towards Monaco.
His teammate Perez is priced at +300 with BetMGM which could offer some nice value, whilst last week Aston Martin's Fernando Alonso claimed in an interview that he is confident of grabbing a race victory this season.
At +700, the veteran could be worth backing here as those drivers with experience tend to excel at Monaco, whilst he also won at this track back in both 2006 and 2007.

F1 Monaco Grand Prix 2023: Best bet
- Pick: Charles Leclerc to finish on the podium
- Odds: -175 (BetMGM)
Alright, so Charles isn't having the best season so far but the romantic in us is backing the Monegasque national to return to form this weekend during his home race.
His odds have been dramatically slashed this weekend to win the race but if you don't fancy backing that as a flier bet at +700 with BetMGM, a podium finish could be the way to go.
In fairness, in four prior attempts, Leclerc has never managed that feature and has really struggled with adversity in Monaco, mostly due to car faults and not his own driving but he did take P4 here last season.
That would have likely instead been the race victory if it wasn't for a Ferrari blunder so expect him to be even more desperate to get on the podium this time around.
F1 Monaco Grand Prix 2023: Prop bet
- Pick: Valtteri Bottas to win points
- Odds: +200 (BetMGM)
Alfa Romeo’s Valtteri Bottas hasn’t enjoyed the best of seasons so far but in Monaco, the Finnish driver normally excels.
So far this campaign, he’s finished in the points positions just once as his car continues to struggle for pace but with the tight streets of Monaco levelling the playing field somewhat, expect all his experience to be on show during Sunday’s grand prix.
Last year he finished P9 in Monaco, holding off some much faster cars during the race and with weather conditions potentially set to be difficult again here this weekend, we fancy the former Mercedes driver to get the job done!
F1 Monaco Grand Prix 2023: Flier bet
- Pick: Verstappen To Win, Alonso & Perez Top 6 Finish, Gasly & Sainz Points Finish
- Odds: 11/2 (SkyBet)
Given the nature of the track in Monaco, it's always sensible to predict that the race will largely reflect what happens in qualifying on the previous day.
Granted, if the stormy weather returns this year like in 2022 which caused chaos, that might change but if not, this selection feels very well priced at 11/2 (+550) with SkyBet.
Verstappen remains the odds-on favourite to win here, whilst teammate Perez is surely a shoo-in for a top six finish at minimum given his form so far this season.
On top of that, Alonso should thrive again in his Aston Martin this weekend, especially given his experience at this circuit where he's won twice before during his historic career.
The two sticking points potentially come in the form of Carlos Sainz and Pierre Gasly finishing in the top ten.
Sainz should have enough despite his poor performance so far in 2023 coupled with his Ferrari's shortcomings. On a track where a car's performance is perhaps worth less, we're expecting the Italian team to fare well overall.
Lastly, Alpine's Gasly. The French driver hasn't had it all his way this season though he has finished in the top ten three times across five races. Throughout his career, Gasly has also enjoyed moderate success in Monaco. His four starts in F1 have resulted in three points paying finishes in P5, P6 and P7 which highlight the potential for more success this weekend.
