An NFC South showdown closes out Week 13, as the Saints and Buccaneers square off in Tampa on Monday Night Football. Considering both teams sport sub-.500 records, there isn't a lot of excitement surrounding this matchup, but those in NFL DFS contests can still find plenty of reasons to be interested. Putting together a FanDuel single-game lineup isn't easy, as both teams possess solid all-around defenses, especially against the run, but we went with a chalky Bucs-heavy build and balanced that out with some contrarian Saints' sleepers.

Before we break down our picks, here are the notable scoring settings for FanDuel single-game contests: The point total for the "MVP" is multiplied by 1.5, but he doesn't cost any additional money like the "Captain" in DraftKings Showdown contests. FanDuel's default scoring is half-point PPR and four-point passing TDs, and there are no bonuses for 300-yard/100-yard games like on DraftKings.

FanDuel Single Game DFS Picks: Buccaneers vs. Saints Week 13 Monday Night Football

$60,000 budget, need at least one player from each team

MVP (1.5x points): WR Chris Godwin, Buccaneers ($12,500)

Godwin has become Tom Brady's go-to guy over the past two games, catching 18-of-21 targets for 181 yards and two scores. He's had at least 10 targets in six-of-nine games this year, and there's no reason to expect that to change despite New Orleans' eighth-ranked pass defense. He'll rack up the catches and yards and have a good chance at another score.

FLEX QB Tom Brady, Buccaneers ($16,000)

Brady's struggles against New Orleans are well-documented -- and his struggles against virtually everyone this year can't be ignored -- but we're going back to the well with the future Hall-of-Famer. He's coming off his best back-to-back stretch this season, throwing for 504 yards and four TDs in relatively tough matchups against Seattle and Cleveland. He'll face another tough opponent this week, but he's finally back at home and has a stable of solid weapons, so Brady has a decent floor and high ceiling.

FLEX WR Mike Evans, Buccaneers ($14,000)

Evans was ejected when these teams met earlier this year after his long-simmering feud with Marshon Lattimore boiled over. We're counting on him keeping his cool this time around with Lattimore (abdomen) out, but we're hoping he can use the beef as motivation. Evans has had a disappointing season, but he's still seen at least nine targets in four of the past five games. He'll get opportunities, and he's overdue to score again. Evans hasn't reached the end zone since Week 3, and you know he'll want to get there again while his arch-nemesis watches from the sidelines.

FLEX TE Adam Trautman, Saints ($5,000)

Juwan Johnson (ankle) has been a TD machine over the past six games, but he'll be out for Monday night's contest. That opens the door for Trautman, who's shown that he can produce in the past when given the chance. He's been playing more lately with at least a 60-percent snap share the past two weeks, and he could easily set a season high in snaps and targets this week. Tampa is allowing the sixth-most fantasy points per game to TE, so the matchup is there for him to have a sneaky good game at a value price. At the very least, we know the Saints look for their TEs near the goal line.

FLEX TE/QB Taysom Hill, Saints ($10,000)

Hill isn't really a tight end, so the matchup stats don't matter here. Instead, we're focusing on his usage, as he's had at least six carries, one catch, and one pass attempt in each of the past two games. It hasn't resulted in big stats, but we know Hill has the potential to punch in a short score or even toss a touchdown. We're fading Alvin Kamara and Chris Olave in an attempt to differentiate our lineup, so we'll take a chance with Hill and bank on a big play. He's slightly overpriced, so hopefully that will keep him relatively low-owned.
