The 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has already started to rumble.
Made up of 10 teams, the league contains some of the best bowlers and batters in the sport and runs from March 31 to the final on May 28.
But who will score the most runs this season and who will take the most IPL wickets?

2023 IPL batting figures and leaders
After Jos Buttler absolutely dominated the field last year, a number of batters will be hoping to respond during the 2023 IPL season to his great form.
England's big hitter just about claimed every top spot in 2022 in terms of statistics, including becoming just the third batter to score over 800 runs in a single edition of the IPL.
This time around he'll face plenty of opposition for the title, though, with Hardik Pandya, Sanju Samson, Mitch Marsh and KL Rahul being just a few names that fans are expecting to perform at the top level.

2023 IPL bowling figures and leaders
After becoming the most expensive signing in the history of the IPL when he was bought for ₹18.50 crore back in December, many fans and pundits alike are expecting the Punjab Kings' Sam Curran to take the most wickets this summer.
He'll need to the better of last season's Purple Cap winner Yuzvendra Chahal, though, who took 27 wickets throughout the 2022 IPL season, while Curran's England team-mate Jofra Archer is also expected to deliver big things.
Other bowlers such as Lungi Ngidi, Kagiso Rabada, Umran Malik and Lockie Ferguson are further expected to challenge for the Purple Cap honours this season.
