The defending national champions' season is on the line once again Monday.
LSU (43-22) won a pair of elimination games Sunday to force a winner-take-all showdown against North Carolina (44-14) at the Chapel Hill regional Monday night.
The Tigers and fourth-seeded Tar Heels have split two games so far, with host UNC prevailing 6-2 Saturday and LSU winning 8-4 Sunday night. That Tigers victory on the heels of a win earlier in the day against Wofford kept hopes of an NCAA title repeat alive, but LSU will need to grind out another win to reach the super regionals.
