Sunday capped off a wild week in Riga, Latvia, where six teams entered the Olympic Qualifying Tournament (OQT) but only one team came away with the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris: Brazil won over host nation Latvia in an epic 94-69 rout.

Davis Bertans and Latvia had trouble contending with Brazil's size, physicality, and up-tempo style. Not even a Yago dos Santos injury in the second quarter could slow the Brazilians down. Bruno Caboclo and the victors had a 31-11 lead at the end of the first quarter.

Brazil joins Puerto Rico, Greece, and Spain — the winners of the three other FIBA OQTs this week — as the last four teams qualified for the Summer Olympic tournament. Eight hoops teams had already qualified for the Paris games, most notably the United States and Canada. Now the full field of 12 is set.

Brazil can push the ball and push opponents around. And with NBA veteran point-man Raul Neto and breakout guard Yago dos Santos both injured, the twin towers of Bruno Caboclo and Cristiano Felicio will need to be big for this team to have a shot at an Olympic medal this summer.
