September 30, 2023. What a day to be a fan of Indian sports! Team India beat arch-rivals Pakistan in three different sports on Saturday. 

The day started with India's win over Pakistan in the Gold medal match in squash at the Asian Games. It was followed by India thrashing Pakistan 10-2 in Hockey in the Asian Games Pool A clash.

The U19 Indian football team then capped off the day with a convincing 3-0 win in the ongoing SAFF U19 Championship.

India beat Pakistan 2-1 in Squash final at the Asian Games

The Indian Squash team bagged yet another Gold Medal at the Asian Games 2023. India defeated arch-rivals Pakistan in the Squash final to win their 10th Gold Medal at the ongoing Asian Games. India's Mahesh M, Saurav and Abhay Singh gave their all to dismantle Pakistan.

Mahesh M lost the first game to Nasir, while Saurav Ghosal got India back into the game by whitewashing (3-0) his opponent Muhammad Asim. In a neck-to-neck game, Abhay Singh won the final and decisive game (3-2) to help India secure the prestigious gold gedal. The Squash final ended 2-1 in favour of India.

India 3-0 Pakistan in SAFF U19 Championship

The India colts defeated Pakistan U19 side to win the SAFF U19 Championship title. 18-year-old midfielder Manglenthang Kipgen gave India the lead in the 62nd minute as the super-sub hit a stunner into the top right corner.

Kipgen then doubled his tally in the 85th minute before Gwgwmsar Gayary hit the last nail in the coffin for Pakistan in the 94th minute.

India humiliate Pakistan 10-2 in Hockey at the Asian Games

Indian hockey players thrashed their Pakistani counterparts at the Asian Games in Hangzhou. India, led by Harmanpreet Singh, scored a whopping ten goals past the Pakistani goalkeeper Akmal Hussain.

Harmanpreet led the team from the front, scoring four times, while Varun Kumar contributed with a brace a brace.

Mandeep Singh, Sumit, Shamsher Singh, and Lalit Kumar Upadhyay got themselves a goal each. Pakistan scored two consolation goals courtesy of Muhammad Khan and Abdul Rana's strikes. With a staggering scoreline, India recorded their biggest-ever win against Pakistan and avenged their 7-1 defeat from 41 years in the Gold medal game at the 1982 Asian Games.
