Drawn alongside reigning Olympic champions Belgium, World No 2, Australia, Rio Games gold medallist Argentina, New Zealand, and Ireland, the Asian Games champions and Tokyo Olympics bronze medallists, India, will have to put their best foot forward to make it to the knockouts.
On the other hand, Pool A includes the Netherlands, Germany, Great Britain, Spain, France, and South Africa, forming another competitive group.
The International Hockey Federation revealed the pool allocations after the FIH Hockey Olympic Qualifiers, with teams selected based on the FIH World Rankings. In the women's competition, India failed to qualify, finishing fourth in Tokyo and losing to Japan in the Olympic Qualifiers.
