Indian golfer Aditi Ashok continued her impressive performance on the LPGA circuit as she finished tied eighth at 14-under with scores of 68-67-72-67 at the Meijer Classic in Belmont.

Ashok managed to churn out a third bogey-free round out of four, which propelled her to a top-10 finish. Despite a modest start on the final day, she rallied with four birdies in the last seven holes to score 67, matching her second-day performance.

Ireland's Leone Maguire claimed her second LPGA win, delivering a stunning final round of 64 and reaching an impressive 21-under total. She secured a two-shot victory over Thailand's Ariya Jutanugarn, who closed the weekend with two consecutive 66s, finishing at 19-under.

Aditi experienced her only setbacks during the third round, slipping to T-13 after a round of even par with two bogeys. However, she maintained a bogey-free streak on the first, second, and final days of the tournament.

In the final round, Aditi birdied the third hole and then picked up momentum with birdies on the 12th, 14th, 15th, and 18th holes. Despite hitting fewer fairways and requiring more putts on the final day, she excelled by finding 15 of the 18 greens in regulation, her best performance of the week in that regard.

While the 2023 LPGA season has witnessed a range of winners, Aditi continued her quest for a maiden victory. This tied-eighth finish marked her fourth Top-10 result in the last seven LPGA events.

After initially missing the cut in her first three starts of the season, Aditi found her rhythm and has since showcased consistent performances.

She narrowly missed out on a victory in a playoff at the JM Eagle LA Championship, secured a T-5 finish at the Cognizant Founders Cup, achieved T-4 at the Mizuho Americas Cup, and now secured a T-8 finish at the Meijer Classic. She also recorded a T-27 finish at the Bank of Hope Matchplay and a T-49 finish at the Shoprite Classic.

Aditi's recent success has propelled her to 15th place in the LPGA's Race to CME Globe standings and she has a chance to improve her career-best world ranking of 48th. At the beginning of the tournament, she was ranked 50th.

South Korea's Hyo Joo Kim rounded out the top five at 16-under, while last year's champion Jennifer Kupcho and Jasmine Suwannapura finished tied for sixth at 15-under.
