Asian Kabaddi Championship 2023: Teams, schedule and how to watch

The Asian Kabaddi Championship 2023 is all set to be held in Busan, South Korea between June 27 and June 30.

The Indian men's Kabaddi team will be in action in the competition alongside Iran, South Korea, Japan, Chinese Taipei and Hong Kong. The flagship continental competition returns after a gap of six years.

The first-ever edition of the tournament was held in 1980 and to date, eight editions have been conducted. India are the most successful team in the history of the competition winning it seven out of eight times. They are also the defending champions as they beat Pakistan to win it in 2017.

The Asian Kabaddi Championship 2023 will be a precursor to the Asian Games 2023 which will be held in Hangzhou, China from September 23 to October 8.

The tournament will be conducted in a round-robin format and after which the top two teams will qualify for the final.
