The third stage of the Archery World Cup is currently taking place in Medellin, Colombia, with some of the best archers in the world competing.
Emerging Indian star, 16-year-old Aditi Swami didn't take too long to make a mark, as she broke the Under 18 record for most points in this competition by putting up a total of 711 points out of a possible 720 to top the compound women's category on the first day.
In her maiden World Cup season, Aditi beat the previous best of 705, set only recently in May by Liko Arreola.

Speaking after her impressive showing Aditi said, "I feel amazing and I am very happy. I didn't expect that I was going to shoot like that and that score, but now I am very happy with that score because I'm only 16 years old."
A strong show from Indian women's team
Aditi's compatriot Jyothi Surekha Vennam finished in second place just below her teammate. As a whole, the women's compound team from India impressed on the first day, posting a total of 2119 points, barely missing out on the world record of 2120 points currently held by South Korea.
Making a comeback, veteran Abhishek Verma who was sidelined in the first two stages of the World Cup finished eighth (707 points) to top among the Indians.
Ojas Deotale finished 13th with 703 while Prathamesh Samadhan Jawkar ended at 19th place, one-point adrift. Rajat Chauhan (698) was 28th as the Indian compound men's team totalled 2112 points to bag the second spot behind the USA.
