Reliance Foundation chairperson Nita Ambani, India's leading philanthropist and a part of various sporting organisations, was re-elected as a member of the International Olympic Committee ahead of the Paris Olympics 2024. 

Ambani, in 2016, became the first Indian woman to be inducted into the International Olympic Committee. The then 52-year-old became a part of the organisation ahead of the Rio De Janeiro 2016 Olympics. 

Seven years later, at a similar time, Ambani is now re-elected into the IOC, ahead of the opening ceremony at the Paris Olympics 2024. The IOC announced Ambani's appointment to the public via a press release.

What did Nita Ambani say about her appointment to the IOC?

Nita Ambani expressed her honour after she was re-elected as a member of the International Olympic Committee. She was inducted into the committee after winning a 100% vote, based on a unanimous decision. 

Ambani even expressed gratitude towards the IOC President and her colleagues for the opportunity. The founder of the Reliance Foundation also pledged to continue the efforts to 'strengthen the Olympic Movement' across the world.
