Netflix released its much-anticipated, eight-episode "Quarterback" series on July 12, giving fans unprecedented access to some of the biggest names in the NFL.

Among the QBs featured is Vikings signal-caller Kirk Cousins. The series not only provides fans insight into his weekly routine, but also shows never-before-seen footage from some of the biggest moments of the 2022 season (including Minnesota's 33-point comeback vs. the Colts and thrilling 33-30 victory over the Bills).

Despite some of the highlight-reel highs last year, the Vikings have to this point declined to extend the four-time Pro Bowler beyond the 2023 season. That follows a 13-4 campaign that saw Minnesota win the NFC North before suffering a first-round exit vs. the Giants.

Here's everything you need to know about Cousins' contract with the Vikings, his 2023 salary and more:

Kirk Cousins contract details

The Vikings signed Cousins to a one-year, $35 million extension in March 2022. The team restructured his deal in March 2023, changing his $20 million roster bonus to a signing bonus and adding two additional void years to the two that were already on his deal.

The move not only made the team salary cap-compliant, but also pushed $16 million to those void years. Moreover, Minnesota did not extend the length of his deal, meaning Cousins is still eligible for free agency after the season.

Kirk Cousins 2023 salary

Per Spotrac, Cousins in 2023 will earn a base salary of $10 million and restructure bonus of $20 million, good for a $30 million salary in 2023.
