The Miami Heat are returning to the NBA Finals.

The Heat were able to get revenge on the Boston Celtics, who defeated them in a seven-game series of the 2022 Eastern Conference Finals.

The Heat beat the Celtics out this year, 4-3, thanks to the home-court disadvantage the Celtics found themselves wrestling with and the double digits Jimmy Butler kept dropping.

The Sporting News looked into the Heat's NBA Finals history.

How many NBA championships have the Heat won?

Three.

The Heat are 3-3 in the NBA Finals. They're tied with the Detroit Pistons and the Philadelphia 76ers in the championship rankings, with all three of the franchises boasting three chips.

This year, they're hoping to upset the balance and add another championship to their trophy case. Their most recent title was in 2013, where they defeated the San Antonio Spurs in a tight seven-game series, 4-3.

That, however, was not the most recent time they'd been in the Finals. They made an appearance in 2020, where they lost to the Los Angeles Lakers, 4-2.
