Some of the hardest-hitting fighters will compete at UFC 291 on July 29. It will be a night of brutality as Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje vie for the symbolic BMF Title.

UFC 291 airs on ESPN+ in the U.S., and takes place at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Poirier and Gaethje fought one another in 2018, with the former winning via TKO in a classic. Since then, both are 6-2, their only losses coming to the sam fighters in Khabib Nurmagomedov and Charles Oliveira.

Who will come out on top five years later?

Jorge Masvidal, the first BMF Champion, believes that Gaethje has improved enough to avenge the TKO loss.

"I think Justin's gonna make a lot of adjustments," Masvidal said on the Smack Talk with Sandhu podcast via MMA News. "Don't make the same mistakes he made before, new strategy...but from what I know from Dustin, he's got some new tricks up his sleeve, and I think Dustin's gonna surprise a lot of people in this fight.”

The co-main event will see former champions collide, as former UFC light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz faces former middleweight champion Alex Pereira. Recently, Jamahal Hill had to relinquish the UFC light heavyweight belt due to injury. A win by either fighter could cement their status as the next big light heavyweight contender.

The Sporting News will provide weigh-in results for UFC 291 starting at 11 a.m. ET on Friday, July 28. Follow along as each fighter on the card attempts to make weight.
