On Thursday, June 6, at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas, the United States of America (USA) will lock horns with former champions Pakistan.

The USA team started their T20 World Cup campaign with a bang, defeating Canada by seven wickets at the same venue. They impressively chased down a target of 195 runs in just 17.4 overs, with Aaron Jones playing a remarkable innings of 94 runs off 40 balls.

The pitch in Dallas seems to be favorable for batsmen, although fast bowlers can also find some movement with the new ball.

Pakistan, on the other hand, has a rich history in T20 cricket. They reached the semi-finals in 2021 and finished as runners-up in 2022. Led by Babar Azam, they have a strong bowling unit and are determined to end their title drought since 2009.

However, ahead of the clash, Pakistan captain Azam informed that all-rounder Imad Wasim has been ruled out due to injury.

For the USA team, the goal is to put up a strong fight against Pakistan and, if possible, cause an upset. Their recent series victory against Bangladesh in a three-match T20I series has boosted their confidence.

It will be interesting to see how the hosts perform against a quality team like Pakistan, especially facing their lethal fast bowlers.
