While Pakistan had a disappointing run in the current T20 World Cup, they lead the pack with six semi-final appearances in the history of the tournament. They are followed by the defending champions England, who recently qualified for knockouts in the ongoing edition. In fact, England have reached the semifinals in the last 4 T20 World Cups.

Apart from the rest teams mentioned in the table, both West Indies and New Zealand have also qualified for the semi-finals 4 times.

Like England, if India and (or) Australia qualifies in the ongoing tournament, it will be their fifth semifinal appearance.

The final games of Group 1 will take place on June 24 (India vs Australia) and June 25 (Afghanistan vs Bangladesh). Fans will be keeping a close watch on these games to see who secures the remaining two semi-final spots in the T20 World Cup 2024.
