The 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is all set to enter the business end. Third-placed Rajasthan Royals (RR) and fourth-placed Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will face off in the second match of the playoffs, the Eliminator, on May 22.

The loser of this match will exit the tournament, while the winner will go through to Qualifier 2 where they will take on the loser of Qualifier 1 between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Both sides have been on opposite trajectories of late. RR won eight of their first nine matches, but then lost four in a row to drop from first to third. By contrast, RCB have pulled off one of the most miraculous comebacks in IPL history, coming back from one win in eight, winning six in a row thereafter to sneak into the top four. This should be an exciting contest.
