Rinku Singh's IPL journey began in 2018 when he was bought by KKR for INR 80 lakhs. Despite a slow start, KKR retained faith in him for the 2019 season. During the 2022 mega-auction, the franchise secured him for Rs 55 lakhs.

It was the 2023 season that saw Rinku's rise, where he scored 474 runs in 14 matches, averaging 59.25. His standout moment came when he hit five consecutive sixes off Yash Dayal, drawing comparisons to the legendary MS Dhoni.

Rinku's stellar performance in IPL 2023 earned him his maiden call-up to India's white-ball cricket team. Consistently performing well for both the national side and KKR, Rinku secured a spot in BCCI’s annual contract for 2024, which had a yearly income of Rs 1 crore.

Despite his financial success, Rinku remains grounded. In a recent interview with Dainik Jagran, Rinku expressed gratitude for his earnings in IPL 2024, where he was paid Rs 55 lakhs.

"Even 50-55 lakhs is a lot. When I started, I had not even thought that I would earn so much. At that time, I was a kid and if I got even 10-5 rupees, I thought I would get it somehow. Now I am getting 55 lakh rupees, so this is a lot, I should be happy with whatever God gives me. This is my thinking. I don’t think at all that I should have got this much money or that much. I am very happy even with 55 lakh rupees. When I didn’t have this, I realized the value of money," Rinku stated.

"If I tell you the truth, all this is an illusion. You didn’t bring anything with you, nor will you take anything with you. Time can change at any moment, so it’s crucial to stay humble," Rinku emphasized on staying grounded.

Rinku Singh will travel with the India squad as a reserve for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024. His journey from humble beginnings to IPL stardom highlights not only his cricketing skills but also his grounded perspective on life and success.
