The wicketkeeper-batter surpassed Gayle's impressive record during the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2024 clash between Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots on Sunday, September 1, at Basseterre, St Kitts.
During the match, Pooran scored 97 runs off 43 balls as his team, TKR reached 250/4 batting first. In his inning, the batter smashed 9 sixes, as he increased his tally of sixes in 2024 to 139.
