Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) talisman, Virat Kohli will be reaching an extraordinary feat in the game against Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Chinnaswamy stadium on Sunday evening as he makes his 250th appearance for the franchise. Kohli joins the elite list of players with over 250 IPL appearances that also includes fellow team mate Dinesh Karthik and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) legend MS Dhoni.
Although RCB and Kohli are yet to win an IPL trophy, the fans have been very loyal towards the franchise as well as their talisman.
The game against DC already holds massive importance for RCB. After managing to secure four consecutive wins, RCB are back in contention for the playoff qualification spot and will need to win the game against Pant-less DC on Sunday evening.
In their most recent game, RCB secured a comfortable 60-run win over the Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the HPCA stadium in Dharamshala on Thursday. Kohli was named man of the match for his fiery 92-run knock off just 47 deliveries.
Kohli’s dominance in the IPL
Kohli has been a part of the IPL since its inception way back in 2008 and has been an RCB loyalist right from the very beginning. He is also the leading scorer of the on-going IPL season with 634 runs and his form would prove to be of massive importance not just for RCB, but also for the Indian national team ahead of the T20 World Cup that is set to kick-off in June.

Kohli is also the all-time top scorer of the IPL with over 7500 runs to his name. His best season in the RCB colours came in 2016, when he scored 973 runs at an average of over 80. It still remains to be the best individual season for a batsmen in the history of the tournament.
