On Sunday, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) played their final league match of IPL 2024 as they took on Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
Having already qualified for the playoffs, SRH were looking to seal a top two spot, in order to gain two opportunities to qualify for the final. They had to win this match to do so, and they did it in style, chasing down 215 with ease to move into second place for the time being.

SRH's qualification record since 2008
The IPL's Hyderabad franchise was the Deccan Chargers, which operated from 2008 to 2012. Therafter, a change in ownership and name (although with the same players and staff) led to the formation of Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2013.

SRH have won one single title, which came in 2016 as they defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore in the final.

SRH have now managed to breach the top four and qualify for the playoffs on six occasions, in their 12 seasons in the league. They have managed to qualify for the final on two occasions, winning once in 2016 (against RCB) and losing once in 2018 (against CSK).
