Ahead of this massive clash for the two-time champions, Harry Kane, who plays for German football league giants Bayern Munich, has sent his best wishes to the team. Although the striker has wished luck to KKR, it could prove to be a curse for Shreyas Iyer and co.

What is the Harry Kane curse?

Harry Kane is an English footballer who has featured for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga. Kane joined Bayern from Premier League team, Tottenham Hotspur ahead of the 2023/24 season and has been in fantastic form for the Bavarians.

Kane has been the top-scorer in Bundesliga with 36 goals and 8 assists in 32 appearances. But on the down side, Bayern have lost the Bundesliga title after 11 years, falling short of the newly crowned champions, Bayern Leverkusen. They were also knocked out of the DFB Pokal and the prestigious Champions League, resulting in a trophyless season.

A major trophy eluded Kane when he was with Tottenham Hotspur and the trend has continued despite his individual brilliance. The striker seems to have terrible luck when it comes down to winning trophies.

How could it affect KKR?

Although KKR have done brilliantly this season and Kane’s wish to the team is nothing but support to the team, if KKR end up losing, netizens may well dump the blame on the English striker.

KKr are up against SRH in Qualifier 1 on Tuesday and even if they lose, they will have a second shot of reaching the final by winning the second Qualifier. The KKR management and team would definitely prefer to seal the deal against SRH on Tuesday night itself though.
