Neeraj Chopra defended his gold at the 2023 Asian Games with a throw of 88.88m on Wednesday.

While Chopra has consistently made it to the podium in big-ticket events, he is looking at taking a step up technically this year.
By winning the World Championships in Budapest earlier this year, he clinched the holy trinity of triumphs in javelin throw: gold medal at the Olympics, World Championships and Diamond League final.
Chopra is also keen on breaching the 90m-mark in 2023. Though the feat that has eluded the Olympic champion so far he has been inching towards it steadily.
