Which EPL clubs will play in Europe in 2024/25?

In 2023/24, there was a scenario in which the Premier League could see the top five teams all qualify for the UEFA Champions League, had England finished as one of the top two performing nations in European club cup competitions. However, that did not happen, as Italy and Germany became the nations to boast a fifth spot in next year's competition.

Under UEFA rules, if the FA Cup winner or Carabao Cup winner each season finishes in the top four, the European berth that accompanies that title goes to the next team in the Premier League standings not already qualified for Europe.

Premier League European places for 2024/25:

  • Champions League (4): Top 4 places in EPL
    • Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Aston Villa
  • Europa League (2): 5th place + FA Cup winner
    • Tottenham Hotspur
    • Man United*
  • Conference League qualifying (1): Carabao Cup winner or 6th/7th place
    • Chelsea

*Man United won the FA Cup and earned a spot in the Europa League, 6th place Chelsea moved to the Europa Conference League, knocking Newcastle out of Europe entirely.
