Chelsea have been more active in the transfer market than any other team since Todd Boehly took over in London.
Most fans associate the Blues will large spending sprees and they have invested an astonishing amount in the playing squad in the past 12 months alone, but the two-time Champions League winners are now earning decent sums of money back from selling players.
Chelsea's roster was very large following an abundance of signings in the 2022/23 summer and winter transfer windows, but the board are now focused on cutting their squad to help solve a few of their problems and recoup some funds.

Todd Boehly net spend at Chelsea
The catalyst that caused the increase in Chelsea's transfer activity was the introduction of Boehly. The American co-owner wants to build a young squad that also has the ability to win trophies in the present day.
Big signings such as Enzo Fernandez, Wesley Fofana and Mykhailo Mudryk mean that the Blues have a large negative net spend. However, their sales from this window have slightly helped the club close the gap between those two figures.
