The NCAA softball super regionals will feature a few familiar names, and one that can't be ignored is Alexa Langeliers.
The Louisiana sophomore infielder had an outstanding freshman season in 2022, and she's helped the Ragin' Cajuns put together a 46-win 2023 campaign that has culminated in a super regionals appearance for the program.
Louisiana is set to face Washington in the super regionals, a tough test after the Huskies went 38-12 this season. Langeliers' power bat will be a key factor as the Ragin' Cajuns look to reach the Women's College World Series.
As it turns out, power hitting runs in the Langeliers family. She isn't the only one with the Langeliers name who can hit the ball out of the park.

Here's what you need to know about Langeliers' connection to the major-leaguer just getting his own feet wet with the A's.
Is Alexa Langeliers related to Shea Langeliers?
Langeliers is the younger sister of Oakland catcher Shea Langeliers.
Shea went a different route in college, choosing to play for Baylor. He became the centerpiece of the Bears' lineup before the Braves drafted him ninth overall in 2019.
Shea was the centerpiece of Oakland's return for Matt Olson in 2022 and made his MLB debut for the A's later that year. While Shea still has plenty of room to grow as a hitter, he's flashed the power that made him a top prospect with 13 home runs through his first 81 major-league games.
Shea never reached the College World Series at Baylor, so his sister has a chance to pull off a first for the family if Louisiana is able to eliminate Washington.
Alexa also briefly had a connection to former Yankees star Alex Rodriguez through her brother. Shea recently married Raegan Padgett, the sister of Rodriguez's ex-girlfriend Kathryne Padgett. Rodriguez and Padgett split up in late 2022.

2023 | 64 | .271 | 13 | 40 | .923 |
