Super Bowl 58 looms near, as the big game between the 49ers and Chiefs is set for kickoff Feb. 11.
The champion of the contest is yet to be crowned, but it's never too early to start looking ahead of the future, when 32 NFL teams will compete for the chance to take the field on football's biggest stage in 2025.
Here's everything to know about Super Bowl 59, and when you can expect to see more details emerge as the big game heads to the deep south next year.
Where is Super Bowl 2025?
- City: New Orleans, LA
- Stadium: Caesars Superdome
The Super Bowl will be moved to the Big Easy in 2025.
Few stadiums have seen as many prestigious events as the Caesars Superdome, formerly known as the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Super Bowl 59 will mark the first that has been hosted under the name of Caesars Superdome.
The domed venue can hold a maximum of 76,468 people for football games and has a turf field.
In addition to seven Super Bowls (1978, '81, '86, '90, '97, 2002, '13), other notable events hosted at the stadium include the Sugar Bowl, the New Orleans Bowl, and the BCS National Championship four times. Every three years, it hosts College Football Playoff semifinal contests when the Sugar Bowl is among those.
Many baseball games, NCAA Final Fours, U.S. Women's National Team soccer matches, and major boxing matchups have also taken place there.
