Broncos country, let's fight.

The Jets-Broncos Week 5 matchup isn't about Zach Wilson or Russell Wilson or Garrett Wilson or Wilson the Volleyball. It's about pettiness and revenge.

Jets offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett had a nightmarish stint as the Broncos head coach in 2022, getting his walking papers prior to the end of the season. The effect Hackett had on the team, though, may not have been washed out just yet. The Broncos enter the matchup vs. New York at 1-3, one loss including a 70-20 drubbing at the hands of the Dolphins.

Prior to the start of the 2023 season, Sean Payton made some less-than-flattering remarks about Hackett and the poor job he did as Denver's head coach, setting the stage for a Week 5 grudge match.

The Jets look a little bit different than they expected to be heading into this matchup but should feel a bit of confidence coming off a surprisingly competitive matchup vs. the Chiefs on "Sunday Night Football." Zach Wilson had one of the better performances of his career, throwing two TDs in the loss.

There are no moral victories, but a win on Sunday would go a long way for either team.
