Super Bowl or Super Swift?

Even with two weeks to go before the NFL's crowning game, there's no lack of star power. And one team's stars shine a little brighter than the rest — on and off the field.

But will super fan Taylor Swift make it to the Super Bowl to support Travis Kelce and the Chiefs? After an AFC championship win in Baltimore, Kansas City will appear in its second consecutive Super Bowl.

The Sporting News has the latest updates on the singer's plans and conflicts for February.

Will Taylor Swift go to the Super Bowl?

The Chiefs set the stage for a potential Swift appearance at the Super Bowl with their 17-10 win over the Ravens in Sunday's AFC championship game at Baltimore's M&T Bank Stadium.

Kansas City may have been the road underdog against the No. 1 seed in the conference, but karma was on the side of the defending NFL champion Chiefs.

Super Bowl 58 is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 11, in Las Vegas. But Swift will need to make a quick turnaround to get to Vegas in time for kickoff.

Swift starts the 2024 leg of the Eras Tour on Feb. 7 in Tokyo, Japan. She will perform four straight shows before heading to Australia for the next run of concerts. With her last concert in Tokyo set for Feb. 10, that doesn't give her a lot of time to make the Super Bowl.

She does have one aspect on her side, though – the time difference. Tokyo is 17 hours ahead of Las Vegas.

Say her final show ends around midnight in Tokyo. That's only 7 a.m. Saturday in Las Vegas. It's still a long travel day, no matter when she would hypothetically depart from Asia and land back in the States. But there's a chance she could make it work to see Kelce in the Super Bowl. After all, a private plane would help her jet back quickly.

Tokyo to Las Vegas flight time

Spanning the Pacific ocean, there's no way to cut the flight time between Tokyo and Las Vegas. Even if one wanted to. On average, the flight takes 14 hours, pending air traffic and winds.

Say Swift leaves Tokyo right after her show, midnight to make it easy. That means it's 7 a.m. on Saturday morning in Nevada. That also means she would land in the States around 9 p.m. Saturday evening. It'll be a long few days for the singer, no matter when she leaves, but it's safe to assume she'll get nearly a full night's rest before the big day.

What time is it in Tokyo?

Tokyo is 17 hours ahead of Las Vegas.

When the Super Bowl begins (3:30 p.m. PT on Monday), it'll be 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in Japan.
