They've arguably been the biggest story of the NFL season. Not Aaron Rodgers and his Achilles, not questionable officiating, but Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift.

The new couple have taken the world by storm with their pop culture-to-sports crossover. The relationship has been approved by nearly everyone. It appears the two are quite dedicated, too, as Swift has traveled with the Chiefs player to the brutal winters of Green Bay and Foxborough for games. Not to mention Kelce flew down to Argentina to see one of her concerts alongside Swift's dad.

While the relationship began as a hit for Chiefs fans, the latest Kansas City struggles have brought up questions about Swift. Has her good luck charm turned into karma?

Here's everything you need to know about the Chiefs' record under Swift.

Has Taylor Swift cursed the Chiefs?

Call it what you want, but it's hard to call Swift a curse.

Since she first appeared at a Chiefs game on Sept. 24, ticket sales immediately skyrocketed. For her second appearance, at MetLife Stadium for the Jets, the average ticket price increased by 28 percent, according to Front Office Sports. The get-in cost rose 43 percent.

Additionally, Kelce's jersey sales increased by 400 percent.

After attending four games, Swift had to hop down for the South American leg of her Eras Tour, which included stops in Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro and São Paolo. Tragedy struck in Brazil when a fan died at her concert on Nov. 17, causing her to postpone the show on Saturday. She missed that weekend's game against her hometown Eagles.

Kansas City lost the next two games she attended, a rarity. Things got back on track in New England, though even that wasn't a great showing against the now-3-11 Patriots.

The Chiefs have notably had receiving issues this season as their offense looks less potent than past seasons. Patrick Mahomes remains stable, but drops by receivers have cost them games.

But sure, blame Swift for the Chiefs losing four of their past seven games.

Chiefs 2023 record

Through Week 15, Kansas City sits at 9-5. At this point last season, the Chiefs were 11-3. Slightly better, but of course it ended in the franchise's third Super Bowl victory. They're still on top of the AFC West race, and though they have yet to clinch a playoff berth, they should clinch it before the next three weeks are up. Emphasis on should.

While the Swift "curse" accusations continue, the Chiefs have still succeeded with her at the games, going 5-2 compared to 4-3 when she isn't in attendance.
