The 49ers have had brutal injury luck this year, as many of the team's offensive stars are out for the team's game against the Cowboys. That bad luck only got worse Sunday night, when Jordan Mason re-injured his shoulder during San Franciscos' 30-24 victory vs. Dallas.

Mason, who is filling in for an injured Christian McCaffrey, entered Sunday second in the league with 667 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 128 carries. San Francisco is also missing Brandon Aiyuk and Jauan Jennings, whilc Deebo Samuel and George Kittle are both playing despite being "questionable" during the week.

The Sporting News has the latest injury news and updates on Mason.

Jordan Mason injury update:

Mason exited the game with a shoulder injury in the second quarter, and the 49ers declared him "questionable" to return. The running back went back to the locker room with two minutes left in the first half to be evaluated as the rest of the 49ers' offense remained on the field. He came out with the team after the break, wearing his helmet on the sideline, but Isaac Guerendo handled carries for the majority of the second half.

Ultimately, Mason didn't return in the second half.

Mason had been dealing with a shoulder injury this season, as he is playing through an AC joint sprain in his shoulder, an injury he suffered in Week 6 against the Seahawks. However, during practice this week,  Mason was limited on Wednesday and Thursday but was a full participant on Friday.
