Times are changing in Buffalo, with Stefon Diggs and Jordan Poyer among a handful of veterans no longer with the Bills after another disappointing playoff exit last season. Is the Super Bowl window still open for Josh Allen & Co.?

While the Bills will still put plenty of responsibility on Allen's shoulders, their offense might be reimagined in 2024. Offensive coordinator Joe Brady leaned more on James Cook on the running game down the stretch last season, and that figures to be the plan again with a lack of proven wide receivers on the roster.

Buffalo snatched what once looked like an unlikely AFC East title in Week 18 last season. But the consequence is a first-place schedule in a season that comes with more question marks than the last few.

With the Dolphins gearing up for another run to the playoffs, the Jets getting Aaron Rodgers back and the Patriots bringing in some fresh perspective after a dismal season, the Bills can't expect to coast to another division title.

Here is a complete breakdown of the Bills' 2024 schedule, including dates, start times, and analysis for their slate of games.

Bills strength of schedule

The Bills had the seventh-toughest strength of schedule last season, facing opponents who had an average .542 winning percentage a year earlier. With another first-place finish in 2022, Buffalo earned dates with plenty of the AFC's best. The Bills did pick up another regular season win over the Chiefs, but puzzling early-season losses nearly derailed their playoff hopes.

Buffalo is again set to face a tougher-than-average schedule, with the franchise's 2024 slate tied for the sixth-strongest. The Bills' AFC East title earned them matchups with the Ravens, Chiefs and Lions in addition to a potentially tough divisional gauntlet.

Toughest tests: The Bills have four fun matchups fans can pencil in right now. They host the Chiefs and 49ers this season and travel on the road to face the Ravens and Lions. Yes, that means Buffalo will face all four conference finalists from last season.

Biggest breaks: Buffalo does benefit from facing the entire AFC South. The division won't be as easy as it looked a year ago, particularly with the Texans surging and the Titans making moves to climb out of the basement, but it's a much simpler assignment than facing the AFC North.

Bottom line: The Bills' schedule isn't all that different than last season, with a handful of tough matchups and plenty of winnable games to make up for it. The question is now whether Buffalo is good enough to pick off some of those tough games.

Buffalo took down the Chiefs in the regular season last year, and that was the difference between making and missing the playoffs. After a bit of a roster tear-down in the offseason, do the Bills stand a chance in Kansas City or San Francisco?

If they can't capitalize on one or two of those matchups against last year's conference finalists, the pressure to avoid disappointing losses elsewhere will be immense.
