Georgia swept the preseason polls for the second straight season.
On Monday, the Bulldogs were ranked No. 1 in the Associated Preseason Top 25 for the second straight season. Georgia also was ranked No. 1 in the USA Today Sports UFCA Coaches Poll on Aug. 12. That matches the Sporting News Preseason Top 25.
Keep in mind that the rankings will not reflect who makes the first 12-team College Football Playoff because there are five automatic qualifiers from the five highest-ranked conferences. Some teams ranked in the AP Top 10 might not get at-large bids.
That is yet another wrinkle to the 2024-25 college football season. Here is how the AP Preseason Top 25 compares with the Coaches Poll and Sporting News Top 25.
