Victor Wembanyama started his Halloween in style, sporting a No-Face costume that paid homage to the beloved "Spirited Away" character ahead of the Spurs' duel with the Jazz.

He ended his holiday in a similar vein, albeit for entirely different reasons. The San Antonio phenom put forth yet another glimmering display on Thursday night. He grabbed a bit of NBA history for himself in the process.

Wemby collected 25 points, nine rebounds, seven assists, five steals, and five blocks across 34 minutes of action against the Jazz — another vaunted 5x5 showcase.

The 5x5 stat line might just be the rarest in the league's record books, as just 23 have happened since the NBA started keeping track of blocks and steals in the 1973-74 season.

Wembanyama is the latest to pull off the feat. It isn't his first rodeo with the stat line, either. Here's what you need to know.

Victor Wembanyama 5x5 game vs. Jazz

Wemby joined Hakeem Olajuwon and Andrei Kirilenko as the only players to record multiple 5x5 performances in a single career on Thursday night.

Wembanyama dug deep into his bag to punish a weary Utah side, conjuring up spells while matched up against the likes of Lauri Markkanen and Walker Kessler. On the offensive side of the ball, he was fearsome. He didn't miss a single two-point attempt and rattled three triples down, albeit his 21.4-percent mark from beyond the arc left something to be desired.

Yet, it was on the defensive end where Wembanyama was at his best. A 10-"stock" game is nothing to scoff at. That's not to mention the countless shots he altered and deterred by the strength of his mere presence.

All that amounted to a blowout win for San Antonio. Wembanyama still has a hill to climb to reach Olajuwon's record mark of six career 5x5s. The Basketball Hall of Famer represents 26.1 percent of total 5x5 games in NBA history, and he's the only player to record a triple-double while posting a 5x5 (he did so twice). He even nearly recorded a quadruple-double while clearing the plateau.

Fortunately for Wembanyama, he's got time on his side, as the unicorn won't turn 21 until July.

Olajuwon's record better watch out; an alien is on the horizon.

What is a 5x5 game in basketball?

A 5x5 is when a player records at least five points, rebounds, assists, blocks, and steals in a single game.

The NBA didn't start recording blocks and steals until the 1973-74 season. Otherwise, there's a strong chance Wilt Chamberlain and Bill Russell would be in the 5x5 history books.
