Team Canada closes its slate in the first window at the FIBA AmeriCup 2025 Qualifiers with a familiar foe. For the second time in four days, the Canadians are set to battle Nicaragua, this time hitting the road to do so.

Canada is aiming to qualify for its 20th FIBA AmeriCup in 20 attempts, as the Canadians have yet to not qualify for a FIBA AmeriCup in the event's history. 

At the 2022 qualifiers, Canada posted a 5-1 record to garner 11 points and win Group C, paving the way for an eventual fourth-place finish at the FIBA AmeriCup.

The first window of scheduling at the FIBA AmeriCup 2025 Qualifiers begins on Thursday, February 22 and goes through Monday, February 26. 

The event is divided into three windows, with each window containing a total of eight games. 

Teams will play two games per window, making for a total of six games. 

Team Canada schedule at the FIBA AmeriCup 2025 Qualifiers

Team Canada is in Group C, alongside Nicaragua, Mexico and the Dominican Republic. 

As a host nation for the FIBA AmeriCup 2025, Nicaragua automatically qualifies for the tournament. Thus, the two highest-ranked teams out of Mexico, Canada and the Dominican Republic will qualify for the FIBA AmeriCup 2025. The teams will play each other two times a piece.
