Detroit, much like Boston, finds itself in the thick of things thanks to its pitching and will counter Houck with veteran Kenta Maeda. The 36-year-old has a 5.80 ERA in eight starts to begin his career in Detroit but threw five shutout innings in his last start after spending two and a half weeks on the injured list.
