Really, not much else needs to be said about Formula 1's flagship race, just as not much can be said about the 2023 Formula 1 season thus far.
The season has been short on drama, excitement and unpredictability. The podium combinations say as much: of five races this year, Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez have appeared on the podium four times. A Red Bull driver has taken the top step on the podium in all five races.
Further, there have been just three different combinations on the podium: Perez, Verstappen and Fernando Alonso (three times); Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton and Alonso; and Perez, Verstappen and Charles Leclerc. That's emblematic of F1's lack of parity, which isn't exactly a new thing.

But, this is Monaco, and as we've seen in recent years, anything is possible at the Circuit de Monaco.

Formula 1 schedule 2023
The initial 2023 Formula 1 schedule listed 23 total races, with the season beginning on March 5 in Bahrain and ending in Abu Dhabi on Nov. 26.
This year, the United States expansion continues. F1 plans for three races on American soil, with the Las Vegas Grand Prix joining the United States and Miami races.
The Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, originally scheduled for Sunday, May 21, was postponed after deadly floods ravaged the Emilia-Romagna region in Italy.
