Max Verstappen capped off another incredible year by claiming his third consecutive World Drivers' Championship title during Saturday's Sprint race before the 2023 Qatar Grand Prix.

The Dutchman managed to come through the pack after falling down to P5 after a slow start to secure a P2 finish behind Oscar Piastri and claim his third straight title.

That championship win moves him alongside F1 greats such Ayrton Senna, Jackie Stewart and Nelson Piquet with three to his name and he'll look to put the icing on the cake with a win during this Grand Prix in which he starts from pole position.

That'll be easier said than done though as the chasing pack becomes more and more threatening. McLaren showcased their growing ability with a P2 and P3 finish for Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri in Suzuka last time out, whilst Ferrari remain the only team to have won a race this season other than Red Bull thanks to Carlos Sainz's recent victory in Singapore.

His teammate Charles Leclerc will be desperate to regain some form here, as too will Sergio Perez who's been outshone all season long by his teammate and crashed out of yesterday's Sprint after a collision with Esteban Ocon and Nico Hulkenberg.

Lewis Hamilton and George Russell also continue to look threatening as they try to claim P2 for the German constructor in the team standings in 2023.

For the race's start time this weekend and all the TV channel and streaming information you'll need, The Sporting News has you covered.
