After winning the Dutch Grand Prix last weekend, Red Bull's Max Verstappen now has the chance to make history by winning his tenth straight Formula One race at Monza.
As expected, he's odds-on favourite with the bookmakers to win the 2023 Italian Grand Prix and surpass the current longest winning streak which was recorded back in 2013 by Sebastian Vettel.
But the last race in the Netherlands proved intriguing, especially as a number of stoppages — mostly due to bad weather — made the race a much closer affair than many were predicting beforehand.
It saw Pierre Gasly finish on the podium for the first time with Alpine, whilst Fernando Alonso also finished in the top three for Aston Martin for the first time in a while which leaves plenty of intrigue heading into this latest Grand Prix.
Ahead of the action, The Sporting News dives through all of the odds to give you the best bets and tips for the upcoming race.

F1 Italian Grand Prix 2023: Best bet
- Pick: Both Ferrari cars to finish in the points
- Odds: -160 (BetMGM)
This selection might not exactly look appealing following Charles Leclerc's DNF in the Netherlands but the romantic in us thinks/wants/needs both Ferrari drivers to finish in the points around the iconic Monza race track.
In truth, Leclerc's troubles came from contact early on in the race and his teammate Carlos Sainz actually put together a solid performance at Zandvoort.
That will give the Italian team and their fans hope that the pair can perform this upcoming weekend and grab point-paying finishes at the minimum.
F1 Italian Grand Prix 2023: Prop bet
- Pick: Alex Albon to finish in the points
- Odds: -200 (BetMGM)
After securing a P8 finish in Zandvoort last time out, we're expecting Williams driver Alex Albon to continue his impressive recent form again this weekend.
Although Williams hadn't delivered the best car this season when it first began, their upgrades ever since have turned their fortunes around, going from likely last-placed Constructors finishers to a solid mid=table team.
The team's straight line speed has been particularly impressive. Now potentially even the fastest car on the grid in that regard, it means that Albon should be able to put that asset to good use around the very fast track that is Monza on Sunday en route to another top ten finish.
F1 Italian Grand Prix 2023: Flier bet
- Pick: George Russell to record the fastest lap
- Odds: +1600 (BetMGM)
Last week, we picked Lewis Hamilton to record the fastest lap around Zandvoort but instead it was Fernando Alonso who claimed the extra point at the British driver's expense.
Even though our selection didn't come in, we were right in picking a driver other than the likely Verstappen to take the accolade and because of that, we're picking someone other than the Dutchman to do that again here.
Obviously Red Bull remain ridiculously fast, but it's been clear to see this season that a number of teams really value that extra point and as such, if a gap should open and allow them to, they're happy to pit late in a race in order to gain it.
Behind Red Bull, Mercedes have recorded the most fastest laps this season with three and since we picked Hamilton last time around, we're taking his teammate George Russell this time around who picked up the extra point in Azerbaijan — an equally fast race track like Monza.
