Penrith Panthers vs Wests Tigers, Round 18 2000
Craig Gower helped orchestrate what was then the biggest comeback in Penrith Panthers history against the Wests Tigers in 2000.
The Panthers were trailing 31-8 with 23 minutes to go at the foot of the mountains.
From there, they produced four unanswered tries to take out the game 32-31.
Tries to Gower as well as a double to Tony Puletua was all the Panthers needed to claim the victory.
Even more incredible? They did all that in just 14 minutes and had eight minutes left to seal the game.
Chris Hicks' conversion from the sideline to win it wasn't too bad either.
New Zealand Warriors vs Canterbury Bulldogs, Round 8 2001
The Bulldogs led by 16 points with just over five minutes to go in this one.
At 24-8, they would have been thinking about their flight back to Australia and maybe enjoying a few beers along the way.
In the next five minutes, the Warriors produced 16 points to level the scores.
Stacey Jones had a conversion from the sideline to win it for the Warriors but it narrowly missed, his only miss of the evening.
The scores finished 24-24, Hazem El Masri left to rue his 2/6 off the boot that night in Wellington.
Wests Tigers vs Newcastle Knights, Round 23 2001
A Joel Caine-inspired performance from the Wests Tigers saw them mount one of the most incredible victories against the Newcastle Knights in 2001.
The Knights had raced out to a 24-0 lead inside the first 26 minutes.
This was the same Knights team that would go on to win the Grand Final that year.
It was also the same Wests Tigers team that finished third-last in 2001.
However, it was an upset for the ages as Wests Tigers eventually won the match 36-32, thanks mainly to 16 points from Caine.
Kevin McGuiness scored the match-winning try for the hosts much to the joy of the 9,000-strong crowd at Campbelltown Stadium.
St. George-Illawarra Dragons vs. Manly Sea Eagles, Round 25 2004
Another 24-point turnaround that no one saw coming.
The Sea Eagles raced out to a strong lead and were winning 34-10 with 23 minutes remaining in the match.
Then came one of the greatest and quickest comebacks you'll see from an entertaining Dragons side.
Nathan Blacklock started the comeback after gathering a kick from Mark Riddell in the 56th minute.
Nathan Brown's men clearly took all the momentum and scored four more tries.
It was Justin Poore who crossed the line for the final try before cult-hero Mark Riddell slotted the conversion to give the Dragons the lead with three minutes remaining.
Dragons win, 36-34.
What a match.
Queensland vs New South Wales, Game III 2006
While this one isn't a large comeback, it certainly was an important one.
With the series locked at 1-1, NSW and QLD travelled to Melbourne for the deciding fixture.
Queensland found themselves down 14-4 during the second-half with it looking as though the shield was returning to Sydney.
However, Brent Tate crossed with nine minutes to go to give Queensland hope.
Then an errant Brett Hodgson pass saw Darren Lockyer cross underneath the posts, breaking thousands of New South Wales hearts in the process.
Queensland would win 16-14.
It's one of the more incredible Origin finishes, and it was the start of eight series wins in a row for Queensland.
South Sydney Rabbitohs vs North Queensland Cowboys, Round 16 2008
The Rabbitohs travelled to North Queensland with the tough task of beating the Cowboys at their home ground.
After 52 minutes, they found themselves trailing 28-4 and many fans may have already given up hope.
But they managed to turn it all around to win 29-28 in an incredible comeback.
Chris Sandow eventually kicked the match-winning field goal in the final minute to ensure the Rabbitohs came back from North Queensland with the two points.
You can watch the highlights of South Sydney's incredible comeback here.
Sydney Roosters vs South Sydney Rabbitohs, Round 1 2012
This was one of the most famous comebacks in rugby league history...until it was topped by the same two teams later in the year.
The Rabbitohs had an eight-point lead, 20-12, with just over two minutes remaining, a pretty safe bet usually?
Jared Waerea-Hargreaves barged his way over for a try before Anthony Minichiello scored the most miraculous of tries to win the game for the Roosters.
Boyd Cordner certainly gets to keep his kicking license after this one!
Roosters win 24-20.
South Sydney Rabbitohs vs Sydney Roosters, Round 19 2012
It couldn't happen again right?
But it did. Just this time, reversed.
The Roosters led by 10 points, 22-12 with LESS than two minutes remaining. The points were sealed, right? Wrong.
Dave Taylor fired up, helped his side find some space and eventually Nathan Merritt crossed over to bring the gap to four points.
Then Dave Taylor linked up with Chris McQueen to find some space off the kick-off that eventually led to the most incredible Adam Reynolds try.
It was capped off by perfect commentary from Warren Smith, 'take me now I have seen it all'.
Rabbitohs win 24-22. Incredible
Cronulla Sharks vs Sydney Roosters, Round 17 2014
An undermanned Cronulla Sharks side travelled to Allianz Stadium in 2014 with not many people expecting them to put up much of a fight.
When they were down 24-0 in the opening 30 minutes, most people's fears were coming true.
However, a Wade Graham try just before half-time gave them some hope.
What followed in the second half was a Jeff Robson masterclass, which rightfully saw him score the match-winning try.
Michael Gordon converted with just under a minute to go, to wrap up a 30-28 victory for the Sharks.
A highlight-win over the minor premiers in an otherwise forgetful year for Cronulla.
North Queensland Cowboys vs Parramatta Eels, Round 13 2015
There's not much that Johnathan Thurston can't do.
In the year the Cowboys won the comp, they produced a last-minute try by Kyle Feldt to keep them in the hunt for a Premiership.
They produced an arguably greater escape against the Eels in Parramatta in Round 13.
Down 30-6 with about 24 minutes to go, the Cowboys scored five tries in 13 minutes to win the match.
Incredible scenes.
