Arsenal are keeping themselves busy in the 2023 summer transfer window with Mikel Arteta making some huge moves to bolster his squad roster.

The Gunners' first signing of the window was Champions League winner Kai Havertz, who joined for £60.2 million ($76.4m) from rivals Chelsea.

Ajax defender Jurrien Timber arrived on July 14 for an initial fee of £34m ($44.6m), potentially rising up to £38.5m ($50.5m).

Arsenal spent a club record fee on their main target in the window with West Ham and England midfielder Declan Rice's move confirmed a day later for a fee of £100m, which could reach £105m/$137m.

A deal for Brentford goalkeeper, initially on loan, was announced on August 15.

Have Arsenal signed any players?

Arsenal finished second in the Premier League last season following a late capitulation to treble winners Man City. Many believed an injury to defender William Saliba led to their poor form at the end of their campaign, which is part of the reason why versatile Timber has joined.

Granit Xhaka moved on to Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen for £21.5m ($28.2m) on July 6, with Thomas Partey also reportedly leaving north London ahead of the 2023/24 campaign, increasing the importance of Rice.

Brentford goalkeeper David Raya has also joined on an initial loan, as Arteta looks to increase competition for Aaron Ramsdale's No.1 spot, with Matt Turner moving on to Nottingham Forest.

The Arsenal board have invested in a young squad, and it seems like they will continue to do so. The average age of Arteta's attack was 23.75 before 24-year-old Havertz joined. However, Arteta will need to balance his squad with more experienced players such as Jorginho if he wants to lead to side to silverware.

Arsenal fans will be somewhat relaxed ahead of the new season as Bukayo Saka and Aaron Ramsdale have signed new contract extensions with the club. It is also reported that Saliba is close to extending his current deal at the club too.
