Knights halfback Jackson Hastings has refuted claims regarding his NRL future, pledging his allegiance to the club heading into next season.
The 27-year-old enjoyed a strong campaign for Newcastle, helping them to an unlikely finals berth before succumbing to an ankle injury, ending his season in the red and blue jumper.
Hastings is currently contracted with the Knights until the end of 2025, with the club picking up the halfback as part of a swap deal with the Wests Tigers for experienced front-rower David Klemmer.
Despite his performances since arriving on the Hunter, a recent report from WWOS linked the playmaker with a shock return to Super League outfit Salford - the same side Hastings starred for a number of years ago.

However, in a social media post on Tuesday night, Hastings reiterated his desire to remain in Newcastle long-term and took aim at the latest rumours regarding his future.
"The reports on my future this morning are completely false and fabricated as per regarding me," he said.
"I’m extremely happy, settled & loving my footy at Newcastle and can’t wait to build on what we started this season. Don’t believe everything you read... and certainly don’t believe most ‘Twitter experts’ opinions.
"Few on here know too much - well at least they think they do, wrong again."
Hastings played 22 games for the Knights this year, notching four tries and producing seven try assists, with the side bundled out of the finals series in his absence against the Warriors.
The polarising No.7 underwent surgery recently and remains hopeful of returning to the field in time for pre-season training with Newcastle.
