Olympic Games opening ceremonies are always special occasions, and it is set to be no different in 2024.
For the first time, the ceremony will take place outside of a stadium, with athletes to be paraded along the Seine.
The iconic Parisian river will be surrounded by an estimated 300,000 fans, which is set to smash previous attendances.

When do Australia come out during the Olympic opening ceremony?
Australia will be country No. 203 of 205 introduced during the Parade of Nations.
In the past, Australia have been involved early in the ceremony because of their position in the alphabet.
However, as the host of the upcoming 2032 Games in Brisbane, they will be the third-last nation to be announced.
The United States – who are hosting in Los Angeles in 2028 – will follow, with the current hosts France held until the end.
It's unclear exactly what time Australia's athletes will be introduced.
Fans will want to keep an eye out for Zimbabwe, who are the last nation on the list before the green and gold.

Olympics opening ceremony start time in Australia
The opening ceremony will begin at 7:30 pm local time on Friday, July 26.
That equates to a 3:30 am AEST start on Saturday, July 27 for Australian east coast viewers.
It is forecast to last roughly four hours, with a 'climax' two hours in.

In line with tradition, Greece will be the first out in the Parade of Nations, followed by the Refugee Olympic Team.
Nations will then be introduced in alphabetical order using the French language.
This means countries like South Africa (Afrique du Sud) and Germany (Allemagne) are earlier than usual.

Aussie fans can tune in to the opening ceremony on free-to-air television via Channel 9, with coverage starting from 3:00 am AEST.
It will also be available to stream on 9Now and Stan Sport, with the latter providing a 4K broadcast option.
