Keegan Palmer Olympic event: What is Australian skating star competing in at Paris 2024?

As he looks to claim back-to-back gold medals, Palmer will again compete in the men's park skateboarding competition.

The 21-year-old talent was born in San Diego but moved to the Gold Coast as a young child.

He turned pro seven years ago and is currently the No. 7 in the World Skate male park rankings.

Palmer put himself on the world stage at the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2021, finishing first by a comfortable 9.69-point margin.

He was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia the following year.

The young Aussie heads to Paris with plenty of confidence, having taken out the final at the Olympic Qualifier Series in Budapest in June.

Palmer's campaign will begin in the second week of the Olympics, with the men's park competition to take place over day one in Paris.

For Aussie viewers, prelims will run on the evening of Wednesday, August 7, with the final scheduled for the early hours of Thursday, August 8.
