It shouldn't be a surprise that the team from the Lone Star State brought out all the brightest stars for its 2024 schedule reveal.

The full calendar of matchups dropped on Wednesday night, as all 32 clubs in the NFL revealed their schedule for the upcoming season. The 2024 campaign might not start for another few months, so the fans need something to get excited about.

With more attention than ever on the official calendar drop, the Cowboys' organization did what every club is doing in the digital age — create content around the announced dates. Dallas went out and got a number of A-list celebrities to help with the schedule reveal, even if they didn't realize it themselves.

Here is more on who was a victim of the Cowboys in their viral video.

The Cowboys' strategy for their schedule promotion this year? Phone a friend.

Dallas owner Jerry Jones, quarterback Dak Prescott, and former wide receiver and Hall of Fame Michael Irvin star in the video, although not a lot of acting is going on. The creative team in Dallas decided to use one of the latest trends on social media — a new version of a prank call.

The group sat still while a call was made to fans or celebrities tied to opposing teams on the Cowboys' calendar. When the call was answered, the person on the other end would see a motionless group, not speaking a word on the Dallas side.

That certainly got a reaction out of a number of people surprised on the other end, as they fell victim to the latest viral trend. Some realized what was going on immediately and could only admit defeat. Others were left befuddled, left wondering if the phone had frozen.

Among the celebrities making an appearance in the video include former Giants quarterback Eli Manning, former wide receivers Calvin Johnson, Steve Smith Jr. and Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson, and former QBs Robert Griffin III (Commanders) and Michael Vick (Falcons).

YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul was the first celebrity on the schedule, selected unknowingly as the representative from the Browns. Popular comedians Sam Morrill (Giants), Shane Gillis (Eagles), and Bert Kreischer (Buccaneers) were also featured in the clip, along with football personality Kay Adams.
