The iconic Silverstone Circuit plays host to the 10th race of the 2024 MotoGP season, and with the World Championship race hotting up as we reach the halfway point of the campaign, front-runners Francesco Bagnaia and Jorge Martin will both be looking to claim victory at the British Grand Prix today.

Despite having finished atop the podium in six of this season's nine meetings so far, back-to-back defending world champion Bagnaia only overtook Martin at the top of the standings with his win at the German Grand Prix last time out – claiming the victory following the Spaniard's withdrawal in an accident just two laps before the end of a race he'd led from the start.

Martin will therefore be looking to get back amongst the winners' circle as soon as possible, and doing so today would see him win the British Grand Prix for the first time. Bagnaia's only victory at Silverstone came on the way toward this first world title in 2022, with Aleix Espargaro winning the 2023 edition.

Ahead of the 10th race of the MotoGP season, The Sporting News has you covered with all the timings, TV and streaming details to follow if you want to keep up with all the action, as we get set for today's British Grand Prix.

When is the next MotoGP race after the British Grand Prix?

Following the conclusion of today's British Grand Prix, we'll be into the second half of the 2024 MotoGP season as the stakes ramp up with every single race. The long summer of consecutive Europe-based meetings isn't quite over yet though, and next on this year's calendar is a trip to the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg for the Austrian Grand Prix.

Like the British GP, the Austrian Grand Prix takes place on the same circuit as its Formula One counterpart. While MotoGP hasn't been dominated by Red Bull in recent years, the upcoming meeting in Spielberg is still a 'home' race for two of the teams – Tech3 and KTM Factory Racing. The latter have MotoGP favourites Brad Binder, Jack Miller and Dani Pedrosa on their roster.

The Austria Grand Prix is set to take place in two weeks' time on Sunday, August 18 2024, and as the 27 riders arrive at the Red Bull Ring, we'll be firmly into the swing of the second half of the campaign with the Gran Premio de Aragon, San Marino and Emilia Romagna all to come.
