Hello, friends.

LIV Golf's Brooks Koepka has been in control of the Masters through the better part of three rounds, which bodes well for his first career Masters win. A victory from Koepka would be a big boon for LIV Golf, which needs the eyes on their product desperately.

LIV Golf raised some eyebrows when it signed a TV deal with The CW, a network whose demographic doesn't exactly align with what LIV may be looking for to grow its audience.

CBS' Jim Nantz, calling the Masters for CBS, may have taken a small dig at Koepka and LIV Golf with a sly wink during Sunday's Round 3 resumption:

"There he is, right on the CW — the crosswalk," Nantz said after a Koepka shot landed on the patrons' walkway.

Nantz's commentary could have been nothing more than a coincidence — a subconscious slip of the tongue. At maximum, it was a cheeky one-liner about a former PGA Tour player golfing on a lesser TV network.

Considering The CW is known more for teen dramas and magic shows as opposed to premier golf, LIV Golf's ratings haven't exactly been gangbusters since the start of the season. LIV Golf hasn't boomed with viewership, and its target demographic (people aged 18-49) hasn't been much to write home about, either.

Some believed that Nantz let loose a little dig:

Koepka, though, will be laughing all the way to the bank — especially if he wins the Masters. He's coming off a win at LIV Golf's Orlando event, which netted him a $4 million check. He also gets to play a lighter schedule with the LIV Tour, while also getting the opportunity to play in golf's majors.

As it goes, he who laughs last laughs loudest. And Koepka has 18 more holes to go to take the green jacket to LIV Golf — and The CW.
