Joe Root equals Williamson and Smith's record - Who has scored the most Test centuries among active players?

Joe Root scored yet another Test century, on Sunday, as England clinched the three-match Test series 2-0, with a game to spare. The Englishman scored a fantastic ton in the second innings, to steer England to a 400-plus score. 

England won the Test by 241 runs, courtesy of the Joe Root century. With the hundred, Root has now got his name alongside two of the best batters of the modern game. The 33-year-old has scored 32 Test centuries, the joint-most among active players. 

Who has scored the most Test centuries among active players?

Kane Williamson, Steve Smith, and Joe Root are all on 32 Test centuries - the most among active players. Williamson, however, leads the list, having played 100 Tests. Smith has featured in 109 Test matches, while Joe Root (142) has played the most games among the three.
