Australia's Jai Opetaia will hope to defeat Mairis Briedis for a second time when they clash as the co-main event to the undisputed heavyweight championship bout in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on May 18 (Sunday, May 19 in Australia).

Before Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk face off to determine the heavyweight division's first undisputed king in 25 years, Opetaia will meet Latvian former champion Briedis in a rematch with the vacant IBF cruiserweight title on the line.

Opetaia claimed a unanimous decision victory over Briedis when the pair met in July 2022, seeing him take home the IBF strap and a badly broken jaw.

Briedis hasn't fought since, while Opetaia has recorded two devastating knockout victories.

The Aussie southpaw still holds The Ring title but vacated the IBF belt in difficult circumstances late last year.

Can Opetaia rubber stamp his credentials as the world's best at 200-pounds or will the Briedis reclaim his position as the division's top dog?
